While I can’t claim to be Christina Aguilera’s biggest fan, I can claim that I am a huge fan of good Pop music. Bionic still deserves some attention before her seventh studio album drops. It’s an album that, with a few tweaks, becomes one of her most joyful and painful releases yet.
“Tweaks” like a bit of song editing and a track list with some thought put into it. This update of the album eases you in, takes you on a fun ride, and ends on a depressing realization.

When you’ve been around as long as Belinda has (she’s only 22, but it’s been over a decade since her breakout role in the kiddie telenovela Amigos X Siempre) and people outside of Mexico and certain parts of the U.S still don’t know you’re name, it’s time to make some changes. At least that’s the idea behind the pop princess’ new album, Catarsis, due September 25.
